So, after a couple day's worth of working I have an alpha build of Y.o.l.o. that I feel good enough about to post a link to on the website. Y.o.l.o. should be done before the end of August. All I really need to do now is just get 2 more backgrounds, get the rest of the music, and design/put together the levels. All the core gameplay is already made. I forget if I mentioned this before, but Y.o.l.o. is going to be F2P. I don't want to stop working on Devin's Quest, but I have a serious problem with over thinking my games. First there was TSoU, which, even though I'll eventually finish it, all of the idea's for the game are too big for me to currently make.
Anyway's lets get back on topic.
In the current build of Y.o.l.o. there are 4 levels. 1 tutorial, 2 regular levels, and 1 "classic" level, which holds the same difficulty as the original version.
You can download this current build here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/z5piil1igento7x/Yolo_7-29.exe
Until next time, good night and good luck.

So I've recently started to work on yet ANOTHER game. This one won't be that big of a game and will be free so it's not really that big of a deal. I'm mainly doing this so I can give one of my friends something to do. He's recently joined Delta Monkey and I want him to have something to work on. I'll be working on it slightly too, but mainly on Devin's Quest.
The game is called "Y.O.L.O. for now since I can't think of a better name. The game is also VERY hard. It only has one level at the time that I'm typing this and I can't even beat it.
Besides that I don't really have that much to talk about.
I'll probably make a separate post for once my other friend technically "joins" Delta Monkey. But until then, I don't really have much to say.
Until next time, good night, and good luck

Okay I've got something I kinda want to adress. If you've noticed, I've changed the front page to have The Story of Underthor's progression whiped. Reason being is that during the last week during my down time I've come up with some rather exciting idea's for the game. I'm not going to share these idea's publicly yet, but if any other members of Delta Monkey want to hear them I'll be willing to share. Once Devin's Quest is done I wont be working on TSoU and will leave that for me to continue getting idea's for for a little while. I want this game to be the best that it can be so I wan to be able to devote as much time as I can to making it. I also probably want to not be using game maker for it. Now don't get me wrong, Game Maker is pretty good but the way that I want this game to come out I don't want any B.S.ing. Also alot of the details for it will probably be too complicated for me to make in game maker without any outside help/ hand holding. This game is going to be a good representatuin of me kinda. This game wont be something made for just jokes and wont be made to fit something that'll sell. Much like Super Meat Boy, this game will be my own. I'm not going to really care if someone doesn't like it. Although if people do like it, I'd be pretty happy. With this I want to if people play it, they'll enjoy it as much as I will. Well, probably not as much, but still enoy it alot. The game I want to have a great story line with equally great gameplay and uniqye mechanics. I'm currently working on a naration video that'll explain the game in the best way I can, with a history of the game as it changed throughout my mind. I'm not going to tlak much more of TSoU, I'm going to leave the naration to explain it and leave it at that. Now to move on.
For my plans after Devin's Quest I hope to finish some side projects of mine. Probably that "Advencha, my boy! and other tales of the unforgot" game pack. After that I'll probably do 1 more game before I start to work on TSoU and start to experiment with ways to get it to work.
Also, I've got some video's coming out soon on Youtube so you should probably check that out. It'll help me out if you watch and maybe subscribe. Also if you're a fan of any game's I'm making that I'd definitely subscribe because that channel is where I'll post updates on games, sneak peaks, and other stuff,
That's all I really have for now. I might post later, but probably not.
As always, until next time, good night, and good luck.

Stalker, though extremely important, I'll admit was at the bottom of my priority list before today. I wanted to take a break from working on it since I worked a whole week straight for Midsummer Jam. Not to mention, there are so many other projects I'm working on like an adventure map in Minecraft and a game based on an animation series I've made. However, after taking a look at the feedback I've gotten so far on Midsummer Jam, it is all extremely positive and everyone really liked the concept. As such, I will indeed try to place it higher in priority and I'll try to get as much of the game done as possible in the future. Thanks so much for any support you've given to my idea!

So I'm thinking about adding entree's to this blog at random sometimes, but I'm not really sure what to call them. I wouldn't really consider them to be updates since I'm not really updating on any game progression... Or is it? I don't really know. Anyways, to get more so to the point of what I ment for this post. Basically I've realized that I have too many game idea's than I have time to make. I probably should get working on Devin's Quest some more, but it's hard to get back into it after spending like 2 weeks+ not even touching it.
Basically what you should be getting from this is that you should expect some form of a new game to be announced soon.

So here's just a general update. Basically, I was unable to get an actual game done in time for the Midsummer Jam Week. For some unexcplainable reason Game Maker randomly shut down while I was testing a build of the game I was making without saving or giving me any warning. With that I somehow lost 2 days worth of work. I might of been able to fix it but I couldn't really rap my head around it. Aquosking's game is still going to be put up to the Midsummer Jam Week I think, but his game is going to be a demo version of a later title that he's going to work on. My game that I mentioned earlier I have a plan for. I thought one day while doing yard work that instead of just leaving it as a small little game that I'd make it into a full game to an extent. I'll leave the details a secret for now but, I'll say that it wont seem like a traditional game. I'm not really going to work on it until Devin's Quest is done. One thing that I can tell you is that the game will be called...
"ADVENCHA my boy! and other tales of the unforgot."
Again, I'm not going to reveal any details of this game, I'll leave that for you to try to guess.
Also, before I forget, Aquosking is also the CFO now.(CFO stands for Chief Financial Officer, incase you didn't know).
Until next time

I also didn't get to post anything yesterday due to difficulties, specifically my cousin stayed over for the whole day and until about 2 o' clock in the afternoon today. So I got barely any work done yesterday. Today, however, I finalized the first level and game mechanics and am now constructing the map of the only area that will be a part of this particular version of the game I am producing for the Midsummer Jam Week. That's right. Unfortunately my project was far too ambitious and this will be sort of a demo of the game that is to come in the future. It's sad, yes, but I was expecting this. The level of polish that I am interested in putting into the game has forced me to only release as much as I can of the full game in this version of the game. What's unfortunate is that I'm not sure how much of the game this will be. I will try to have the first three levels done, maybe four, but I won't make any promises. So that's it. Wish me luck!

I apalogive for not posting anything yesterday. I had lost the abillity to use my computer that day and couldn't get anything done, besides the planning out of the map(over world, and dungeons). I'm starting to think that this game wont get done. Hopefully I can get at least something done. The whole thing is kinda simple really. Just a normal character, with basic enemies. Here's a basic layout of the game I drew out yesterday. I really hope I can get the game done today. Unfortunatly, there wont be any music in the game. I messaged this guy about making the music for it earlier when me and Aquosking were working together on a game, but he has yet to respond with any signs that he is still making music for it besides telling me that he can only do it during the week and not the weekend. I'll make another post later on today if I can get alot done. Until next time.

Hello! It's that time again. Time for another update on my progress through the midsummer jam week. I've decided to make an adventure game as Aquosking makes his game. I saw what he had for it, and I'll say it looks pretty good. I haven't really decided what to call my game, and only really have a working overworld(kinda) and alot of ideas. I hope to have the main mechanics of the game done by tomorrow, along with at least one dungeon done. I'm currently having problems with getting the player to spawn back where he was originally, but I may just BS that to avoid any unnecesary bugs. I'll be sure to have a more in depth update on this tomorrow. For some irrelevant news, I've officially lost the password for the Delta Monkey youtube page. I'm pretty sure no one else has it also. I may just post all updates and such to my youtube channel. It would be more convient if I did. I don't really have any good characters to show you either. Again, tomorrows update will be more in depth and will most likely feature a picture or two. Also, I'll be making a developer comentary on my game when it's done, and will also be doing a general playthrough of Aquoskings game also when it's done. The video for his game wont be developer commentary since I'm not really making it, but will be mroe so like a first impressions kinda dealio. So yeah, look foward to those in the future I guess. Until next time, good night, and good luck.

So after splitting off into my own little project, I made a surprising amount of progress. Everything has come together better than expected and I simply can't wait to see the end results. I've finished most of the game's mechanics and the first level is almost finished (with a more "subtle" tutorial than most games today), so I should just be making levels and touching up on the game engine from here on out. Hopefully. In addition, there are now enemies that are moreof hazards, as they are stationary scarecrows that fire strawballs at you when you enter a certain range. You kill them with a pitchfork. The only unfortunate truth is that the game will not be available in its final form on the release date. There will still be production of the game, as I will likely only have the first two groups of puzzles in the contest entry version. Nonetheless, I hope you're as excited as I am for its Sunday release date!
